We would like to inform you that Thamel has now been declared a vehicle free zone from 8 am – 10pm. It is very good news as vehicle free zones have immense benefits to the environment, the neighborhood and businesses in the area.
We are making an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible for our guests. Please read below for more information:
Entrance to Kathmandu Guest House:
The direct vehicle entrance is now from the back gate of Kathmandu Guest House. The directions to this gate is from “Sorakhutte.” As you come to Sorakhutte, you will see signs leading you to Kathmandu Guest House back gate.
Sight seeing:
If you want to go sight seeing, please ask the travel desk to arrange a vehicle for you. The car will be available at the back gate. For any other vehicle transportation out of Thamel, please inform travel desk. We will help you make your movement in and out of Thamel and smooth us possible.
