Day 3Kathmandu - Pokhara

Early morning tourist coach/private car/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara. Preparation activities for yoga trek – detailed briefing, last minute shopping and packing.

Day 4Pokhara - Phedi - Pothana 1,950m/6,400ft

• After morning yoga session and breakfast we drive to Phedi and then trek to Pothana at 1,950m. We begin our trek with a steep climb through the jungle, passing local villages until we reach Dhampus where we will have some lunch. Dhampus is a Gurung village so you will have a first glimpse of local life here and if the weather is clear we will have stunning views over the mountains. After this, we follow a gentle trail to Pothana where we stay overnight.
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 5Pothana - Forest Camp 2,600m/8,530ft

• Morning yoga
• A steep uphill climb for most of the day through thick jungle with beautiful views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. We may be lucky to catch glimpses of some of the abundant wildlife here like deer, monkeys and many species of birds. We reach Forest Camp 2600m in the afternoon and stay overnight at a simple teahouse.
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 6Forest Camp - Low Camp 3,100m/10,170ft

• Morning yoga
• Today is a relatively short distance but a steep climb through the rhododendron and juniper forest. The trail is initially quite steep leaving Forest Camp but soon eases off as you get upon the ridge. From Forest Camp to Low Camp there is only a short day trekking through more jungle with occasional glimpses of Annapurna South before getting into Low Camp (3100m) after around 3 hours. There are 2 lodges in Low Camp and they are very simple, we spend the night here.
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 7Low Camp - High Camp 3,550m/11,645ft

• Morning yoga
• The trail leaves Low Camp in the jungle, but the trees soon start to get smaller and after about one hours trekking we find ourselves on an open ridge with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South, above the tree line. The trail undulates along the ridge and after about 3-4 hours trekking we arrive at High Camp (3550m) and we spend the night at a simple teahouse.
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 8High Camp - Mardi Himal Base Camp 4,450m/14,600ft - High Camp

• Morning yoga
• An early wake-up call today so you can appreciate the most spectacular sunrise views of the mighty Himalayas. After breakfast, we climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which stands at 4450 meters. A challenging day, walking along narrow and rocky trails, but all will be worth it for the awesome views of this majestic mountain environment. Machhapuchhre is a sacred mountain for both Hindus and Buddhists and nobody to date has reached the summit. We eat our packed lunch here and return to High Camp to spend the night at the same teahouse.
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 9High Camp - Siding Village 1,880m/6,170ft

• Morning yoga
• On our way back we take a different route, from Low Camp there is a trail that goes down to Siding village rather than going back to Forest Camp. Siding is a traditional Nepalese village and still very much away from the busier tourist treks. It is a wonderful cultural experience finding out more about village life in Nepal. Overnight at homestay or teahouse
• Evening stretching and relaxation

Day 10Siding Village - Lwang Village 1,450m/4,760ft 5hr trek

• Morning yoga
• On the way from Siding you will pass the villages of Kalimati and Ghalel. Kalimati is mainly a Brahmin village with Ghalel and Siding are mixed with Brahmin and Gurung. Finally we reach Siding, a charming Gurung village with stone paved streets, traditional buildings and great mountain views. This village is famous for its organic tea plantation. Overnight at homestay.
• Evening stretching and relaxation
